Does having a personal credit card help build business credit?
Historically no, but things are changing. Personal cards have traditionally only reported to consumer credit bureaus (Trans Union, Equifax and Experian).
There is a link between personal and business credit as many lenders will look at both during an application process. This is especially true for truckers. Further, Experian has a model that will take into account some personal credit for a business credit score (see here). This means in many cases keeping your personal credit cards in good standing can will benefit your business.
