Business Services
Who You Work With Matters.
It’s not easy to find other companies that are as dedicated to their clients as we are. But they are out there. And they love truckers as much (well almost) as we do.
Any business endorsed by BLF has to meet 3 specific criteria for us to even mention them to a single client.
It’s not easy to find other companies that are as dedicated to their clients as we are. But they are out there. And they love truckers as much (well almost) as we do.
1. Vetted
All service partners/affiliates are rigorously vetted through several steps. This includes learning all we can about the business practices, how they set pricing, and even where they get their clients. We will also meet one-on-one with any management team member in charge.
2. Trucking Specialists
There is nothing wrong with a business service provider who is a ‘jack of all trades’. In fact, most are. But we feel strongly that those companies who are familar with, and specialize in the unique needs of truckers are able to perform better for our trucking clients.
3. Record of Excellence
Our standards of honesty and professional integrity are what endears us to our truckers. We expect nothing less than the same from any business recommend our truckers work with. We require a verifiable track record of satisfied clients from all service partners.

Trucker Insurance
Insurance policies are one of the biggest expenses a trucker has, and many insurance agents include all sorts of add-ons and unnecessary coverage in order to earn more commission. BLF is aligned with the smartest and most honest insurance providers around. Get the right kind of coverage, which is always the best kind.
BLF currently has reputable insurance partners in 36 states and counting.

Bookeeping
Having financial pros keep their eyes on your books allows you to keep your eyes where they belong- on the road. Bookkeeping for truckers requires a specific skill set, tools, industry knowledge, and software. Correct bookkeeping keeps everything running smoothly, incorrect bookkeeping could spell disaster for cash flow and even present tax problems.
BLF has in-house bookkeeping team that works exclusively with our truckers, to providing them with everything they need to maintain healthy business accounts and ledgers.

Factoring
To factor, or not to factor, that is the question. The factoring needs and qualifications of a trucking business change as the business grows, especially over the first 2-5 years. Many truckers don’t realize this (and your factoring company will never tell you). It could be time for a change. But change is good- especially with the lowest rates in the industry, plus the option to only factor the loads you want to.
BLF Currently endorses 2 (yes only 2) factoring companies on behalf of our clients; OTR & TBS.

Legal Services
Proper legal assistance will help you stay in compliance with all current laws and spot developing legal issues early. Having an attorney at your fingertips when you need legal counsel for something important will provide peace of mind.
BLF has attorneys in all 50 states, including Vasquez Segarra P.C., the current law practice of our beloved Esperanza Segarra, one of our original founders.

EIDL Offer in Compomise
The Covid Disaster Relief programs offered by the government were a lifeline for many truckers during the pandemic. But for some, the struggle still continues. The SBA can in some cases accept an offer in compromise from those businesses who received a loan but are struggling to pay it back.
BLF handles EIDL OIC requests internally.

Tax Resolution
Tax issues are quite common among truckers, so know you’re not alone in that regard. Also know that you don’t have to try dealing with the IRS or state tax offices by yourself either. Most tax debt can be negotiated, and in some cases eliminated altogether.
BLF can handle many tax resolution cases for you. For more complex situations we may refer you to a tax accountant.

Business Credit is essentially a rating of a company’s ability to handle its ongoing finances, it’s purchasing power, and its debt. Business credit affords more funding options for trucking and transportation companies, enabling them to obtain credit lines and loans to purchase the fuel, supplies, and equipment their businesses need to become and stay lucrative.
Trucking and transportation businesses are considered among the highest-risk businesses by lenders. For this reason, it can be challenging for even seasoned trucking and transportation companies to obtain credit lines and loans. Establishing and maintaining good business credit, (as well as personal credit), enables trucking business owners to secure credit lines and loans vital to expanding their businesses with the lowest possible rates and payments.
In decades past establishing business credit was one of the very first actions a new company would take when operations started. But because so many of today’s small businesses (especially truckers) start off with the owner as the only employee and build from there, it is often not much of a priority. Most truckers don’t pay any attention to business credit until they get denied for a much needed loan. And then it is an urgent matter. But it should u003cemu003ealwaysu003c/emu003e be an urgent matter. Business credit is usually established by opening a few trade lines or accounts.
Unless you have no absolutely zero intentions ever of borrowing money or financing anything for your business, the answer is YES. A good business credit score not only allows your business to get money, it will also save you money as a higher business credit score will almost always translate to lower interest rates for any financing. Most importantly, and especially for truckers, it is nearly impossible to scale your business (ex. grow your fleet) without an ongoing access to funds.
Yes. The question is, will you?
